MIHABURA SCHOOL
We started our partnership with Mihabura Primary School in 2015. At that time some of the old mud-brick classes were falling down. Despite this it was achieving excellent results through the dedication of the teachers.
Working with the Rwandan School Village Project (Scottish charity RSVP), we have helped to rebuild this primary school, removing decrepit classrooms and replacing them with new ones, including an IT Centre equipped with specially designed laptops for primary age, provided by the Rwandan government. We have also provided community sports facilities, such as a basketball court and renovated the nursery classes.
When painting the classrooms we worked alongside a number of volunteer secondary school students and we have been able to support some of these into university.
