MNUKWA in eastern Uganda where we started work on a vocational training centre in 2011. Since then we have been able to add a bore hole and three teams have returned to add solar panels and lights, continue with internal works and teach sewing and carpentry skills. There are now five classrooms fully equipped for carpentry, bicycle repairs and sewing and a house for the skills trainer on site. We are also funding a medical student at university.
We have now decided to bring our direct involvement with this project to an end. Before doing so we are providing them with £8,000 to initiate a programme of income generating initiatives which will help to sustain the project into the future
