FORTHCOMING OPPORTUNITIES
We are planning a project visit back to Bugarama in July/August 2023. In partnership with Jersey Overseas Aid we hope to attract Jersey teachers to join us to work with local teachers and students during the holiday period for a period of up to three weeks. All skills are welcome but particularly English, ICT and Physical Education At the same time, we would also welcome our usual volunteers who would work on maintenance
and painting in the classrooms, as we have done before.
If you have specific skills, for example educational or medical or something technical, we would be happy to discuss how we could make use of those skills. We will have a number of orientation sessions to prepare volunteers for spending time in Africa. As we come into contact with local young people we take safeguarding very seriously and deal with these issues as part of our preparation.
